Apple picking, wet leaves, mud and brush cutting; fall has arrived full force in the lakes region and the WSC faithful worker bees have as well. Trail work is now in full swing. We have had an excavator out on the trails for the past weeks making improvements. Bridge work has begun; decking the least, and recovery due to flooding more challenging. Amazing how a full size bridge just ends up someplace totally different than where you put it! Anyway, if anyone is interested in helping out we could sure use it. Upon recently reading about the large tract of land suspended from use up near the Castle due to abuse, it really brings to light how easily a few selfish people can ruin it for everyone.
. The chilly mornings are sparking the winter juices! Hopefully the Farmers Almanac is right and we will be up to our ‘seats’ in white stuff.
