OCTOBER MEETING

Meeting commenced at 7:08 pm.

In attendance were: Tom, Larry, Jay, Dick, Louie, Sue, Kathy, Tracy, Duane and Justin. Ricky, Bob and Randy were m.i.a…..hmmm…we heard rumor Ricky is working for Sarah Palin and Randy and Bob were just blowing with the wind..Loui- the loan board member present had the reins for the board..eeek. Hope to see you in your seats soon fellas!

*Secretary’s report read and accepted. Snowtraveler article submitted for next issue.

*Treasurers report: read and accepted. Dick reported we are in excellent overall shape with major bills paid. Awaiting bill for groomer repairs..could be a buzz kill.

*Membership report: Dick now multitasking  reported that the annual membership forms and letter were mailed. Returns to date are down in overall donations, but membership is up in comparison to last year to date.

*Presidents report: trail projects are progressing. Much still to be accomplished before snow flies. An excavator has been hired for Walker Hill area. Considering New Garden re-route due to repeated washout issues. Brushing parties ongoing..good progress..but..you know the drill…more more more..check website for work parties..usually Sun am at 8am..19 mile store. Justin offered his truck/trailer to move the bridge to know-where (sorry..I forgot to write it down..)..anyway..many thanks to Justin for the offer!

*Trailmasters report incognito: Winter grant has been mailed. Permission slips all mailed and coming in quite fast..all positive so far. Stay tuned.

*New business: Justin suggested to try the “Adopt-a-trail” system for maintenance..interesting concept..will consider how/what/whens of the idea

*Tucker 2000 is finally at Cooks

*New maps are in progress..will sell ads for back as last year it was very successful.

*Website: being updated

*Old business: Pres. Larry called for all hands on deck for trail projects.
