WOLFEBORO SNOWMOBILE CLUB

SEPTEMBER 2008 MEETING

• Meeting Commenced at 7:05pm. Present were: Tom, Larry, Randy, Jay, Jimmy, Fred, Louie, Bob, Sue, Kathy, Tracy and Duane. Ricky and Joe must still think its summer.
• Secretaries Report read and accepted. First Snotraveler article of season submitted
• Treasurers Report read and accepted. Club is in very good shape with a positive balance of funds and all expenses paid. However there will be several large bills upcoming including insurance and groomer repairs.
• Presidents Report: Larry reported on trail updates that we have some serious storm damage from the summer tornado on Moose Mtn, and several bad washouts at the usual trouble spots. Also, several tracts of land near or including some of our popular trails is seeing some changing of ownership and development. We will keep our fingers crossed that our trails will be preserved. 

Other news is that the WSC was approved for up to $7400 in grant money for trail maintenance, which we will ask the club to match funds to get the maximum amount possible. Also the Tucker 2000 may need some significant repairs including the track. Motion made and accepted to appropriate the funds to cover all repairs necessary.

Membership letters will be processed and mailed within the next couple of weeks. Sue G will work on the annual club letter to be included and we will set a stuffing party in the near future.  Many hands make light work.

With much trail work facing us, we have formed (3) trail teams. Jay F. will head up the brushing crew, Larry J will head up the construction crew, and Tom will head up the excavation crew. We really need some manpower this year more than ever with so much storm damage to deal with..so if you enjoy riding our trails..please come help us prepare them for the season!
